Coverage
- Businesses and locations
- Enigma does not provide a total coverage metric for this attribute across our entire small businesses database, but typical samples of SMBs return contact coverages between 20-40%. Not all contacts have a phone number or email. Coverage must be calculated on a per sample basis.
Time Structure
- Each contact’s details are current as of the last refreshed date. No historical information. Each contact’s details are typically refreshed multiple times a year.
Data Sources
- Third-party providers who have been vetted and approved through our compliance diligence process and have contractually assured the right to use the data by our customers for B2B sales and marketing outreach.
- Enigma only works with the most reputable sources and regularly vets them to ensure accuracy and freshness.
Methodology
- Enigma presents contacts that meet a certain minimum accuracy threshold with respect to the details provided. The contacts are sorted by seniority within an organization and prioritized by the presence of either a phone number or an email.
- Enigma will typically provide up to five contacts per business record, if they are available, to ensure that the right decision-maker is found.
- Department and title filtering generally perform poorly at the SMB level, so Enigma gives a greater quantity of contacts to ensure that the right decision-maker is found.
- Contacts have been optimized to provide a <4% bounce rate for email campaigns, which can vary depending on the sample at hand.
Other notes and tips
- The contact is someone whose current place of employment is at the business or location being enriched.
- Enigma can provides up to 25 contacts per business record. Enigma will typically provide up to 5 contacts per business record.
- Enigma can provide contact enrichment on both a business location or a location-level entity. However, Enigma does not guarantee that contacts work at a certain business location or address, since contact enrichment uses the website as the primary input for retrieving valid contacts
- Enigma provides a do-not-call property as part of the contacts.phones attribute. This reflects whether the US phone number was previously detected as registered in the National Do Not Call Registry, which is managed by the FTC and may also implicate other laws and regulations.
- As of February 2023, the FTC has stated it allows organizations to be exempt from Do Not Call provisions for B2B calls—outbound calls to a business made with the intent to solicit sales from that business.
