Coverage

• This attribute is available for both businesses and locations (see methodology)
• Business: >5M businesses have at least one associated technology
• Business Locations: >2M locations have at least one associated technology

Timeliness

• In-store payment technologies (such as Square, Toast, Clover) have been associated with transactions occurring at that location within the last 12 months.
• Online payment technologies (such as Paypal, Shopify, Stripe, Braintree, Adyen) have been observed on the business’ website within the last 12 months.

Time structure

• Current point in time (latest 12M period), no historical information.

Data sources

• Enigma uses credit card transaction information to associate technologies used in those transactions with the physical in-store location, or online website, where the transactions were made
• Enigma identifies the payment technologies available on a business’ website, based on underlying data sources.

Methodology

• Enigma shows technologies associated with at least 5% of transactions at that retail location, or online website, within 12M of the latest transaction date in our product.
• Both businesses and locations can have in-store technologies associated with them via credit card transactions, or online technologies associated with them via the website tagged to that business or location
• The current list of payments technologies used includes Square, Toast, Clover, Paypal, Shopify, Stripe, Braintree, Adyen.
